A closer touch on the turf

Receive, turn, then find the pass. Those small movements give a young player more time to decide what comes next. The Nike Junior Phantom 6 Low Academy uses a grippy texture to bring the foot closer to the ball, with a shoe frame shaped for a more natural feel through the toe box.

This is the turf version from the Shadow Pack. Its rubber outsole provides quick traction on turf, so it belongs in the conversation when that is where your player practices and plays. The Black/Illusion Green-Black colorway keeps the look dark with a green accent.

Room for the foot to settle into the play

The new shoe frame helps the Phantom mold to the foot. That more natural toe-box shape works with the close-to-ball feel when a player is setting up a strike or adjusting a touch. The grippy texture is there for those contacts with the ball, while the rubber outsole handles traction underneath.

Choose by playing surface before comparing colors. A turf shoe and a field cleat can share the Phantom name without sharing the same sole. If your player moves between fields and turf, match each pair to the surface it was designed for. This low-cut Academy model keeps its focus on turf.

Fit Notes

Start with Nike's youth size chart and try the shoes with soccer socks. Check that the heel stays secure and the toes have comfortable room. Let your player walk and change direction before committing to a full session. The toe-box shape is a reason to check the feel, not to automatically change sizes.

Care and Maintenance

• Brush turf pellets and loose dirt from the outsole after play.
• Wipe the shoes gently with a damp cloth.
• Let them dry at room temperature, away from direct heat.
• Follow Nike's care guidance before using cleaning products.
