A Vapor 17 Academy for mixed surfaces

The Nike Junior Vapor 17 Academy Firm/Multi Ground Soccer Cleats are built for young players who move between natural grass and artificial grass. The Break 'Em Pack uses Bright Crimson and Blur, giving the pair a clear identity without changing its surface purpose. The FG/MG label should lead the decision when you compare this model with turf or indoor shoes.

NikeSkin touch and a light plate

The soft NikeSkin upper is described as helping with ball control and bringing the foot closer to the ball. A lightweight plate supports sharp turns and quick bursts in tight spaces. Chevron studs at the heel and forefoot provide traction, while conical studs help with planting and pivots. Each part has a different job, so compare the upper, plate and outsole separately.

Use the youth size chart and try the cleats with the socks worn for play. Check the heel stays secure and the toes have comfortable room. Let the player walk, plant and change direction before a full session.
