Gripknit for close ball contact

The Nike Zoom Vapor 16 Elite LV8 uses Gripknit across a larger area of the upper to help control the ball when dribbling at speed or setting up a shot. The material molds to the shape of your foot and provides grip in wet and dry conditions. A micromolding texture works with the Gripknit to keep the cleat close to the ball.

Flyknit fit and Air Zoom cushioning

The full Flyknit upper combines a lightweight, strong Atomknit quarter panel with an adaptable Flyknit U-throat. Nike combines Gripknit, Atomknit and Flyknit into a thin upper designed to reduce break-in time. Underfoot, an improved 3/4-length Air Zoom unit adds a propulsive feel.

Firm-ground traction

Cascading studs in a wave-like pattern engage more of the Air Zoom unit's surface area. The largest stud keeps the height of a traditional middle stud, while evolved chevron and blade studs support acceleration and quick stops. This is the firm-ground version.
